
About Me
I’m an award-winning educator, writer and editor who lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in English from Wake Forest University, a master’s degree in English from Penn State University, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Nonfiction from Goucher College. An excerpt from my MFA thesis, an examination of coerced sexuality, was a finalist for the Christine White Creative Nonfiction Award for literary journalism.
I’m a former daily reporter, and freelance feature writer and columnist, As an instructional designer, I’ve designed, developed and taught writing and technical skills courses, both online and in the classroom. I’ve also taught English composition at Georgia State University’s Perimeter College and was a submissions editor for Memoir (and) literary journal.
